Hueston Woods Lodge Retreat | Southwest Ohio

July 19-20, 2020

2nd annual Medley of Metal Techniques Retreat with Kaska Firor, Kat Firor-Colque, and Mary Karg.

Held at the beautiful Hueston Woods Lodge in college Corner, Ohio. Techniques in wire weaving, color pencil on copper, cold connections, piercing, sawing and simple soldering will be demonstrated during this fun 2-day immersion. Make our projects or have us help you engineer your ideas. This year we are adding a third, optional day for those that want more jewelry making experience.  Hiking,swimming, boating,horseback riding are all available on site.

August 30-September 4, 2020

Join Kat and me at the William Holland School for a 5-day retreat style workshop in a beautiful residential arts center.   

In this workshop we will focus on intermediate to advanced wire weaving techniques as well as basic soldering and other metal skills.  Students will explore advanced techniques such as layering of woven elements and multiple stone designs as well as combining wire weaving, cold metal (shaping, texturing) and hot metal techniques.   You can expect to complete three to six projects. This workshop is co-instructed with Kat Firor-Colque

October 11-16, 2020

Join me at the William Holland School for a 5-day retreat style workshop in a beautiful residential arts center.  This course will concentrate on wire weaving. Students do not need any weaving or other wire experience.  We will explore several weaving techniques: looping, netting, basket weave, stitching, etc. We will be working with copper, fine silver and sterling silver. Depending on individual progress, you can expect to complete four to seven projects.
