Wire Weaving II & III

In this workshop we will focus on intermediate to advanced wire weaving techniques such as layering of woven elements and multiple-stone designs.  Students wishing to take it to the next level will be introduced to working with various shapes and gauges of wire to create elements such as double coils, channel settings for faceted stones, flat settings for small cabochons, prong settings, patterned weaves, and other skills employed in heady wrap designs.  Depending on student interest, we will also cover basic soldering skills. You can expect to complete two to four projects. Lab fee covers all supplies for the first project, practice wire and consumables.  Kits for additional projects will be available for purchase from the instructor. You can also bring your own materials. The instructor will contact students a few weeks before class with a list of required tools. To see examples of the kind of work we will be doing, visit my website at www,DesignsbyKaska.com, or my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/designsbykaska. Contact me with questions at kaska@designsbykaska.com.
